We spend too much time on fire fighting and band-aid solutions: “go faster,” “put more people on the problem,” “Just get it shipped!” We do not spend enough time on becoming better. We need leaders to forge a new path, shift culture, and demonstrate by example. We need everyone else to follow this new path and to develop their own personal leadership. It’s time to evoke the Soul of Agile. When we lack soul, we lack brilliance, creativity, inspiration, and innovation. We can’t wow anyone inside or outside of our company.
