The Product Owner is a key player in Scrum, yet there is confusion around the true value and responsibilities of this important role. Many companies have difficulty staffing it. Oftentimes Business Analysts are called upon to assume Product Owner responsibilities, without much clear direction. Some think of the PO role as “an analyst on steroids”.
