Kate and her team collect data on engagement, psychological safety, performance, and other key metrics in the technology teams at the Broad Institute and other organizations. At the Broad, they know which teams perform best and why. Kate will shares her team’s story, including improvement actions to revitalize engagement and performance, and the data they have to back it up.

About the Speaker

Kate O’Brien is the people insights team lead at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Kate and her team are passionate about using research, data and analytics to understand — and improve — team effectiveness, engagement, and retention. Over the past 18 years, through a variety of management consulting, change management, and organizational development roles, Kate developed expertise in strategy definition and implementation; organizational development; process design and process improvement; team effectiveness; and change management.
